Within the field of nanobiotechnology, one of the key areas of focus is biocompatible surfaces which among other things can be used in implants. Denmark is at the forefront of this area. We have universities working together with hospitals and thus putting high-technological knowledge to practical use. Unfortunately this collaboration is primarily focused on the sharing of the knowledge. The actual production apparatus would greatly benefit from an increased focus on the product. This is an area with a huge growth potential for Danish companies.
